Broadway is Expensive. Times Square is a pain to walk through. Intermission isn't enough time to scarf down that $12 Watered-Down-Mojito which you can't bring to your seat. And that jerk in front of you is going to give a standing ovation to a reading of the telephone book. Why bother? We give you each of your (not so) favorite Broadway shows, ten minutes at a time.
Yeah, I had read that article, too, and am not really sure what to think about it. Especially since the show's actually opening in London, not NYC. I have to wonder if it would do better opening over here, since there's so much Obama hype everywhere, and anything associated with his name would catch people's attention...but maybe they'd just watch the Youtube clip and feel the same way as we do about it. (Although I have to admit, the song about "Obama on my mind" was just the tiniest bit catchy, particularly on Inauguration day). It will at least be interesting to see how British audiences react to it.--Melanie
